I want to say first that I do not care if you beg borrow or steal the money to get this dog the proper medical care.
Although I appreciate that you love Gracie already your "poor financial planning" should have no bearing on the kind of treatment that your Natalie gets. She NEEDS to see a Specialist for her heart, there is only so much a local vet can do. Sometimes when we love something we have to make sacrifices, no matter how hard it is.
Your logic that Natalie needed Gracie for some type of companion? You have plenty of dogs if she needed canine companionship, YOU wanted the dog, not Natalie. Now Natalie NEEDS a cardiac specialist and it is your responsibility to make whatever sacrifice you need to in order to get her the treatment she deserves.
I swear I am not trying to be mean but love is not selfish. You have stated the breeder said she would give you your money back for Gracie, do the right thing for your first responsibility, Natalie. She did not ask for this and it breaks my heart that she may not get the proper care.
