I agree that my dogs are my "children", but it isn't like Gracie came from a pet store or somewhere that would be terrible for her to go back to. She came from a loving family who had to rehome her, so she would be going back there -- not somewhere that would harm her.
I understand you have most likely bonded with her and that I can understand as I bond instantly also.
I'm just genuinely wondering if it really came down to saving Natalie and having Gracie go back to her previous home what you would do? I guess I am trying to put myself in your shoes, which is difficult since I have not been through this and pray that I don't have to.
I 100% don't mean this as an attack, I'm just really curious.
