We had a gram scale, and would put a diaper on it to weigh the diaper when it was dry (we knew how much they weighed since we did it all the time, but you have to start from scratch). Then, we'd diaper the baby and when the diaper was wet, we'd remove it, weigh it and what it weighed (minus the amount of the diaper dry) was how many cc's of urine they put out. Maybe you could put a diaper under Natalie and measure her output and the dr. could better determine how much fluid she should take in each day. I'm sure with the way she's breathing too, she's losing fluid that way too.
I'm so sad over this situation, i'm just trying to think of anyway I can to help her get better. Her picture today is so sweet and beautiful. Tell her how much we're all praying and hoping the best for her! My dh is going to see me crying again and make me get off the computer . |
Awwwwww, don't cry.... <<hugs>> I've done enough of that in the past 24 hours for all of us!!!
She's not really getting up on her own to pee.... but she's not peeing while laying down either..... every 20 minutes or so, I go over, pick her up and hold her up on her wee pad.... she pees almost every time....
If I had a gram scale, I could just weigh the wee pad, no?
I only have a mail scale.... ounces.... would that easily compute?
