well we have been busy , the vet gave chewie the plasma transfusion at cost.thankyou Dr.Crawshaw and i m making payments. chewie is back to he old self, for now he is on steroids, vitamin, antibiotic, and a home cooked diet of boiled chicken breast, turkey breast , rice and potatoes we will be adding others soon. his albumin only went up to.8 so we are still praying he stays in the right direction and doesn't start leaking the protien again. he is still very bony but he eats four times a day and is always looking for someone to play ball with. i try to get him to lay around more, i'm afraid he will burn off any weight he gains by running around. they say he has lymphangioplasia? the inability of his intestines to absorb protien. he is two years old and never had any problems with food (other than when he got into the cat food and had diarreha) his belly never blew up till the vet put him on science diet I/D.(not on that any more) i'm not sure if the diarreha set it off or what i just hope i can keep him around for a lot more years without breaking the bank.
