What types of meats do you feed your dogs? I saw some beef liver, beef heart chunks, and buffalo meat today...i can't believe that i am even looking at these things now!! i never even knew they were in the grocery store!! I know some people feed these right?? Once she gets settled I should be giving her various types of meat chunks and meat on the bone to help her teeth??? How do I know which are safe? AHHHHH
Her poops should be hard and small, honestly. Thats the way they are supposed to be, she will have to strain a bit to pass them which will help to express her anal glands. You could add extra lamb if you want yeah. I feed whatever I can get really, chicken, lamb, turkey, rabbit, beef, green tripe, fish and sometimes more unusual things when I can find them such as venison and goat. Yes all of those things are great, your lucky to be able to find buffalo. Beef heart and liver are fantastic, full of taurine. Yes once she is settled and doing well you can begin to feed her a variety of different protein sources, the more the better really. As far as raw meaty bones go you feed the softer, consumable ones such as chicken, turkey, lamb and rabbit. Avoid beef bones and the leg bones of large animals. Remember the bones must be covered in lots of meat and absolutely have to be raw. I know its overwelming, but it gets easier and easier.
