I wish I could help you but I keep my MIL over 200 miles away. To be exact she would need to get on a plane to visit us and she's terrified of them.

So I haven't seen her for almost a year now. But I wish you the best with yours. Just tell her nicely that you aren't pleased with the things she does to or says about your baby.
