I don't have any pet insurance. The only way I would get it is if one of mine starts to develop health problems. At that point, I think it's beneficial. Of course, with 5, I think I would be throwing away a lot of money that only has a small chance of ever being utilized. If you have one or two...it may be more affordable and worth it to you. My mom's best friend has german shepherds, and she has insurance on them because health problems are very common with that breed. I wouldn't say Yorkies are prone to health issues, but of course their size factors in. It's really a personal choice...it's just taking a chance. You could never use it...or you could, god forbid, have a huge vet bill come up and be grateful you have it. I do know for a fact, however, that many things aren't covered under certain plans...so be careful and read up and research if you decide to get one. Hope this helps...
