I have 2 toy poodle adults and (2 three week old puppies). (You can see pictures at:
www.freewebs.com/poodles-n-yorkies. Poodles come in three sizes according to AKC- Toy, Miniature, and Standard.) A silver puppy starts out black, and lightens as he/she gets older. Usually, you can look at the hair between their pads on their feet, if that is gray/silver, they will turn silver.
As to size, I have never found the weight charts to be accurate for poodle puppies. A 9 week old 1 1/2 lb puppy should stay small. My 3 week old pups are over a pound already. I expect them to be 6-8lbs full grown, based on previous pups.
$400 for a toy poodle pup sounds about average around here. That is what I charge for my pups. I also offer (free) doggie sitting when the families go on vacation or any other reason and discounted grooming so that I can watch them grow and see them often!
I love Toy Poodles, they are very intelligent, affectionate and are VERY easy to housetrain and teach commands.

My vote is for the little poodle boy!!
