I have been to Locust Grove.. The lake you have is very nice. I love the wooded setting there too.
I have been to Charlottesville many times. My dd was in UVA for about 2 weeks when she was little. I grew up in Madison Heights so I wasn't to far away.
Someone mentioned Woodstock.. I live in Winchester... I wanted to move to Woodstock but we ended moving to Winchester.
As for the hussle and bussle..... LOL well that doesn't apply to most of Va.
