It even got me spooked and I got scared which only made him more afraid and run even faster. I was so glad no one was around because we must have looked crazy with this look of panic on both our faces going 90 to nothing down the sidewalk and me making a jerky kind of hop because my knees can't work that fast. He has never done that sense and we have heard dogs barking in the distance many times. I can't imagine what made that time so different. I now can laugh about how funny we must have looked but at that moment believe me it wasn't funny.

Sorry to hear you need knee replacement surgery. I know how you must
have felt, hair going up on the back of your neck right? Bud growls in
the dark when we're walking and it creeps me out because I can't see
anything but I know he scences things. I hate walking at night but have
no choice.
Well this morning we went back, because it's where he potties the
second time in the am and he peed where he smelled the scent.
He still smelled it ,tail was between his legs but he peed there then
ran away dragging me with him. I hope it rains soon maybe that
will cover the scent whatever it was. Just plain weird.
