Really, to get a full length coat you should wrap, or at least band the hair. Otherwise, you'll be faced with breakage. The other thing to keep in mind is that you must keep the coat clean. Dirty hair will break. That means you should bath your dog with a high quality shampoo once a week. I use Purepaws and plush puppy products.
