I can see your point, but it really depends on individual situations. In my case, I most certainly have to think about what will happen to my critters if I died because I know my husband would NOT do what I would want. Sadly, I couldn't count on him to keep them and take care of them. I know for a fact that he would sell them all. He has a completely different view on animals than I do and wouldn't think twice about sending them all off to unknown homes, and that's the last thing I want.
So, I do have a few people lined out in case anything happens to me. One is my aunt and the other is my sister, both are amazing with dogs and I don't think I could possibly find better homes. I know they would both do the right thing and take very good care of them.
