The companies that have tapped into 'all life stages' foods are very clever indeed. You see, in all honesty the whole puppy, adult and senior foods are a bit of a gimmick, the main difference between the 3 is the protein however there is a bigger variance in the protein between different brands of commercial food than there is between the different life stages versions in the same brand. Puppies do not need a different diet to adult dogs, they simply need a higher quantity of food for their body weight. So in essence canidae for example realise this and by marketing their food as all life stages they are making money out of the obvious, of course they have to market it as being different to other foods otherwise we woulden't believe them as we have been sucked into the idea of different foods for different life stages.
