The cow hoof's are great. We have had ours FOREVER and the dogs love them.
One more question....if milk is bad for a dog, why isnt cottage cheese. It is also a dairy product?? Just asking before I give september some after she has the pups. |
I would say hot dogs are bad because they are so fattening...hot dogs really aren't even good for us humans. When Lacy was in obedience training, the trainer suggested cutting up turkey hotdogs into tiny pieces to use as treats so I did that. I guess because turkey is less fattening than pork or beef.
So far as milk - dogs are lactose intolerant, meaning they can't digest the lactose in the milk well. Some dogs can tolerate more milk than others. Too much milk can cause diarrhea. In yogurt, cheese, and cottage cheese - the lactose is already partially digested which is why it doesn't upset the tummy like plain milk does. I would limit any dairy product though - a little is fine but too much could cause diarrhea
