Some lady from a shelter called my dad about Rusty. She was SO psychotic. She was telling us not to give him to a pound (no, really?) and she was like " Oh I don't think giving a little dog to someone 3 states away is a really good idea." Yes well...that's nice. That's where she's going.
Shelter people can be wonderful people, but others are know-it-alls and I can't stand the ones like that.
We're have to keep our house for a while (my other cousin is probably going to buy it). So in the absolute worst situation, he'd have to hang out here during the day. |
As for being three states away, I just wanted to reaffirm that you will see TONS and TONS of pics and videos of Maddie. You will be very informed as to what is going on with her, how she is adjusting, and anything exciting that happens in her life. It's so silly and close-minded for people to judge you when they have NO IDEA what your situation is like. They've not been in your shoes and have no reason to assume that they know what is best for you. I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of this on top of how sad you already are. *hugs*
