This used to happen to Tina maybe 3 or 4 times a year. It is not normal behavior and you should have your dog's blood levels checked. We just thought Tina got this way when she didn't feel well, and then in April of this year she DID have a stroke, and once that happened, my vet told me that the vertigo type behavior isn't normal and could be warning signs of something more serious to come. Tina recovered mostly from the stroke, and hasn't had any other dizzy spells since, but I just don't want you to have to go through what we did. And the hard part is, when Tina's blood was checked, it wasn't too bad. The problem was in her tiny little brain, and they can ultrasound their little skulls or do MRI's and CT scans. The wobbles will go away, but you should make sure everything else is ok with your baby. I hope all goes well! |
