sorry I do not know how to add to a post I will try to explain this as well as I can.
Provinces in Canada, all have different provincial tax. All have a government tax that is added to the provincial tax. .
The provincial tax in Ontario which is the pst, (provincial sales tax) then the gst is government or federal. combined in Ontario the tax adds up to 14%.
I am not sure on all the other provinces..and I did say Canada and thanks to some one in New Brunswick I was reminded all provinces are different...
But I was just trying to make some aware that is something the buyer/seller should think about. It is just being told no duty on pets, then to get charged the additional 14% again in Ontario can come as a shock...
