I used the different colored ribbons on Lexie's puppies; she has four of them. I think it is a very good idea as it makes the record keeping that much easier. You just have to be sure not to make them to tight and check them often as those babies grow fast so you'll be changing the ribbon often. I had a little trouble keeping the knots in & the ribbons coming loose. Finally figured out that putting 3 knots in them was better than just twice. Good luck!
