I think if the rubber bands pull on it, it can cause the hair to be pulled out. I know that Turbo's hair seems a little tinner on the sides of the top knot because the rubber bands I used when I first got him pulled the hair. Now I just braid the top knot (haha, I copied V) and it is less stress on his hair follicles.
