I used to use my shuman salon products on chloe and we didnt have any problem with her skin or anything. BUT i have since purchased good doggie shampoos and conditioners for a couple of reasons. I was having problems with fleas even after using frontline and someone told me that fleas are attracted to sweet smells(such as what is in human hair products) which may or may not be true. This person also told me that most dog shampoos still have some sort of flea preventative in them(again this may not be true at all) but it all sort of makes sense. So I got dog products, and i havent seen any fleas. I also purchased dog shampoo that specializes in helping prevent itching. SO now I think it might be a better idea to use products specifically designed for dogs. Just thought I'd share that
