I give any new vet one visit to give me a big clue about how they run things. There is a balance in the amount of testing needed. I want a vet that has enough experience that they take things at a moderate pace (I am not gonna spend $600 on a simple ear infection, I will go to another vet thank you). There are good vets and then ones that are in it for the wrong reasons.

If your puppy has bad diarrhea and vomiting and they don't even do a fecal or give and prescription anti diarrheals then why bother to go to that particular vet. That just wastes money and endangers the health of our babies.

My boys get the same level of care and treatment that I would expect of my own doctor to give me. If they seem like a quack then I leave.
