My two Yorkie girls will be three years old Dec.5 and Jan. 16 and have never heard the "no" word. When they are as young as your baby, you simple distract them if they go to chew something they shouldn't and give them their own chew. (maybe a nylabone or flavored budda bimple) They should never be allowed freedom in the house. They should be in an expent with their wire crate attached to it and a pee pad down at the other end and an attached water dish on the fence. Take them outside every hour to potty and play. This way they don't develop unwanted habits. They outgrow all the chewing stages and get house trained as well. I also home cook for them and feed them twice a day. It makes house training much easier when they poop at the same time each day.
