Hi Funky, I read online that there is a certain formula you follow on how much you feed them depending on age and weight. Many Korean people (me, Korean) have Yorkies, it's thier favorite breed along with Maltese. It was a Korean site I read, and I felt at that time, I wasn't over feeding or or under feeding Max. I think it said somethign like for a Yorkie that is 3 pounds, you feed them 1/4 cup twice. At the time, Max was 3.5 pounds. I fed him 1/4 cup twice and 1 snacks a day. 1 snack size is one spoonful or pebble size treat. Now Max is about 4.5 pounds, and still a puppy, so I feed him a little more than 1/4 cup twice a day and 3-5 treats.
But it also said as the dog matures you need not feed them as much as you used to. I will do more research, I need to know too. I will let you know, since you may not be able to read Korean. K?
