I had the same question when I first started looking for a yorkie. The breeder had a boy and girl and she said the boys are usually more affectionate and lap dogs where the girls like to be independent. I ended up getting a girl who the lap dog of lap dogs and wants to me with mommy 24/7! hehe! When you find a breeder I would go and spend time with both the female and male and see their personalities I think it really depends on how you raise them as well!
