I am trying to kill time waiting for my Jeter to be 12 weeks(he's 2 weeks ) so iI have ben reading all sorts of books..again, anyway's I just read about this yesterday in THE DOG BIBLE pages 146-147. this is what it said about the subject.
Their is several things you can do to stop your pup from eating his pooh, Adolph's meat tenderizer or Accent or a product called FOR_BID that is sold by vets, can be put on his food and will make his feces taste really bad that he will not want to try it. The products can take up to 3 day's to start to work. Also you can put pineapple or Zucchini in the food for a natural way to make his pooh unappetizing.
My parents had a dog a long time ago that did this and they got the stuff from the vet and it worked out for them.
Potty trining takes a while to master. You should try one method and stick with it, your puppy could become confused. It's your choice on wich one to try, just be consistent and your puppy will get the hang of it. Remember to reword Logan when he goes and do not scold when he makes a mistake. Good luck with your new little guy... I love his name by the way! |
