I have 3 yorkies, all were available to be AKC registered, but I never got the papers. I wasn't showing or breeding them, in fact, they are all fixed, so what good were the papers to me. In the past, when I purchased other dogs, I would send out for the papers immediately only to put them in a draw and never look at them again for years.
