Wow...I've noticed all yorkies are different but that's the right age for the hair changes - around 8 months is when Cheri started changing to the silvery look - some yorkies stay dark on their backs - that's what's so cool about them - they all have different looks and faces ...
I'd just watch and enjoy...do you have pictures ?
