Thanks

Please pm me, I bought one to voluntarily teach children in our area to sew and it is really nice and not expensive, it is perfect and has many nice features. I would be happy to pm you back and tell you the one I bought for them to use. I invested in an Elna many years ago, very expensive it has held up beautifully and really did pay for itself but I use to make all my clothing and even dress pants for Jack, draperies and curtains, you name it

One doesn't really have to have one that does monograms, it is easy to do names and writings without that, just take the stich foot off and put on a narrow zig zag, with it set at short stitches, place fabric in embroider hoop, with fabric facing facing flat side down, and off you go. I use to do this many times in doing my machine embroidery and it is so easy you can widen the zig zag to accomodate what ever you are doing and it does beautifully. I think a sewing machine is the best investment one could make. I am hoping that I will be soon be back to sewing, have tons of fabric and something planned for each one and then of course so many things to make for the girls.

You are doing great in wanting to get a machine.
