Yes but Sammy screams in her crate even for 30 minutes, and I ignore it. I never give in but she still tries. As soon as I leave the house, she quiets down. I've asked the neighbors. And as soon as I get home it starts up again. We are working on it.
But to answer your question, a 2nd dog won't fix problems with the first dog. My suggestion is to get one trained and then get another. Sammy has been GREAT for Loki, but Loki was already well trained. They are good playmates and wrestle a lot so they wear each other out. I'm glad I have two. I just can't imagine having two and trying to train two!!
