I saw Ellen's show and although I am very sympathetic with the family who had to give up the dog, I also see the point of view of the rescue organization. If you've never found a home for an unwanted dog, you don't know how it feels! You are very worried about where the dog goes and since Ellen did sign an agreement NOT to rehome the dog, she did wrong, as she admitted. I hope the family can go through the rescue organization and get the dog back. Otherwise, the resuce organization will go about finding the dog a good home, which is why they exist. It's all very unfortunate, but rescue organizations have rules to protect the dogs they care for, which is as it should be.
