Lightbulb Rottnluv

I loved my rottie. She had a great temperment and demeanor. I sent her to Old Towne School for Dogs to be trained when she was about 11 weeks old and from there she was just great! Alot of people fear Rotties because of their size but I think dogs are like children, it's about how parents raise them. Rotties are highly trainable dogs, that is why police, border patrol and security use them alot. They love to work. Ever since ours was trained we would walk her and use all the commands she learned so she felt like she was working. haha!

The only con to owning a Rottie is the teething stage can be very destructive to your house and furniture.

As far as having a big dog and a yorkie. I would suggest that you just let the yorkie have its time to establish her comfort and rank in the house. A good year and then introduce a rottie as a puppy. Because the rottie will be on the yorkies territory and not vice versa. So the yorkie will be the alpha dog.
