I am considering microchipping also for Indy. He is to be neutered Aug 1 and I want to get him PA lifetime dog license. I have the choice of microchipping or tattooing. I talked to my vet about it and she gave me a couple things to think about. She said that it is possible for the chips to migrate from the injection site, plus, like someone else said, they could be removed by someone who would find your dog. A tattoo is more permanent, couldn't be removed as easily. I already have 2 of my dogs tattooed and never had a problem with them. Still trying to decide..... |
