I hope she does call you. maybe you could wait a few days and then call her and explain that you are just so upset by the situation and your emotions took over. You could then ask for some assurance that the pup is ok and if not then say you would be happy to take it and get medical care. You cann go to aSPCA and the vet care will be free.
