 Similar problem
My yorkie refused to eat this past Thursday. Prior to this time, she appeared perfectly healthy. I took her to the vet and her blood work indicated low protein and low glucose. Our vet referred her to the teaching hospital and we took her up there. They have since performed several test including an endoscopy. They have diagnosed Sophie's problem as Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She also has acid reflux. I don't know if your dog has the same condition, but the symptoms sound very similar to Sophie's. Additionally, every vet that has seen Sophie has asked if she was experiencing diarrhea and vomiting. Although Sophie did not display these symptoms, apparently they are very common with this disease. |
