Hello!
I work long hours too, my boys are potty pad and outside trained. I have a small area in my 3rd smallest bedroom where I lay down 1 washable potty pad and I also made them a hiking post out of a large bottle filled with water and covered with a washable cloth baby diaper. i do have to section this area off with an expen or they will go potty in other places in that room. this helps me immensely!! They still sometimes mark in other places of the house but they never poop anywhere but on the pad. It works for me, because I'm single and have to be gone 9-10 hours or more a day. Good Luck! I hope things get better. Maybe gate them in the kitchen if you aren't already. Belly bands are another good idea, but if you leave them on too long, they tend to irritate their bellies!
