I have never had them but my cousin has...it took like 4 months to get rid of them. she was getting bit and her son but her daughter wasnt. what she did to see if they were infact bedbugs was have her boyfriend by the mattress and she would turn off the light for a few minutes he would be looking at the mattress as soon as she flipped the light for the little bugs and sure enough she did. She is SUPER clean so please dont feel embarressed it can happen to anyone
