Yes, it is the Fenantyl patch and the vet did warn us about the heat issue. She said that people have died from heating the patch while wearing it! We talked about other forms of pain control but until the biopsy comes back, the vet wanted to stay away from giving her oral pain meds because the liver could have a hard time processing it. Thanks for the reminder for me and also all the other parents out there who decide to get the patch.

And thanks to everyone for their kind words, I am very glad it is over with and look forward to when she feels better, too!
