Zoe barks a lot less than other dogs we have had. We have a collie and she is a real barker at times so I correct them immediately and Zoe really doesn't bark much. My sister has a yorkie too and he isn't a barker either. But really, every dog is different. Yes, the housebreaking can be difficult though. Zoe did really good on the pee pads and then I decided to train her to go outside and we have had some accidents. By the way, she's 8 months. I would say a yorkie is a good dog for a condo environment but I can see why you would want to wait until spring as well. Good Luck!
