We check the baby departments all the time, Our girls, Lacey & Lindsey have lots of clothes, the baby t-shirts size 0-3 months fit them perfectly, they are 5 lbs each.... they wear a white 'nighty' to bed so we can see them in the dim light if we get up during the night. It saves us from stumbling on them in the dark if they get up and move around also. We've found baby t-shirts that say MOMMY LOVES YOU, or DADDY LOVES YOU, or DADDYS GIRL . They have a nice assortment of thermal and baby receiving blankets that they love to curl up in during the winter months. They have a nice small set of animals for babies in Walmart that are just Yorkie size to play with, providing they don't shred things. Our girls just carry them around like it was their puppy, then get funny and start tossing them in the air or shaking them holding on to the toys tail, they come in a pink pig, an yellow lion and a purple elephant . we've even found the little stuffed animals in the McDonalds Happy Meals for kids, sometimes they have a promo that the animals are plain, no eyes, or beads inside and these are favorites around here too, especially the frogs.
We check craft stores where they have the 18" doll clothes and found a
pr. of beautiful orange fleece vests, they just fit the girls and come in handy to wear here in the fall. I've made them many different occasional visor hats of which they wore since they were babies, they don't mind, have sun glasses too, it sure makes the people laugh and want to take pictures of them. Sometimes you can find the little BEAR SWEATERS also for every month for the really tiny Yorkies. Also check the Dollar Stores for Baby Shirts.
I'm practicing to knit 2 needle yorkie sweaters for the girls, if anyone has any patterns for that please let me know. Right now I'm trying to make up my own pattern with the 2 needles from a circular needle pattern, its a challenge.
