If you are serious about the sport you know that they will be more of a distraction, as your primary focus has to be on them. I'm assuming that since you are asking this question they haven't been field trained or off-leash trained at all. You are not only putting your dogs at risk, you are putting yourself at risk as well. Just imagine yourself chasing your tiny dog through the woods knowing that people could mistake YOU for a deer - even if you were glowing head to toe in hunter orange.
Leave them at home where they are safe and you can concentrate on your sport in the safest way possible.

Having grown up in Michigan (big deer hunting state) with a father who was a big hunter I have to totally agree with you. Very well said and let's not forget all the drinking that goes on.
Many a hunter has been shot and killed during the hunting season and they were all dressed in orange. I am also sure many other animals have been killed by newbie hunters. My father finally gave up hunting in Michigan due to all the accidents and the crazy things he witnessed. I remember one year where so many people were killed a reporter had a picture with 10 deer killed 15 hunters.
I would also add would you take a 2 year old skin baby out in the woods during this time? I believe our furbabies deserve the same consideration.
