Bryan got him and told him in a very mean voice no, stared him down to show dominance, and then put him in time-out. Do you think that there is something else we should have done?

But, he didn't bite BRYAN,,he bit you so you are the one he has issues with and you must deal with him..I would say don't give him those treats again, but that does not deal with the aggression issue..If what Bryan does works, then do that too as long as it is not cruel..and it doesn't sound like it is..try the water bottle but if it does not work after a certain number of sprays you have to move on to plan B. That has to be something you feel comfotable doing so if you feel comf doing the alpha roll or flip, then do it. If you are the least bit hesitant when you do it, he is gonna have the upper hand again, and will be more likely to bite you. You must time your correction with the split second you see the behavior starting..
I wish you good luck in correcting this behavior. Remember, it could be a child's or face he could bite so deal with it before it becomes a set behavior pattern.. |
