Thanks again for everyone making me fell better. Princess seemed like she was dry heaving last night. It kept on getting worse and worse. So, for the 3rd time in one daym, we rushed her back to another animal emergency hospital 45 mon. away (we live in Blowing Rock, NC-mountains). The vet was amazing. I explained the past 48 hrs and she knew exactly what it was right then. After to listening to me she said "is this the noise" while she touched Princess' throat and Princess started making the dry heaving noise. It was not dry heaving-it was a bad cough. She said to keep her on the antibiotics and then she gave us cough medicine for her. What a relief!! I know this sounds bad, but I was so happy to finally know what was causing her this illness. My finace and I were driving ourselves nuts trying to find out what was the problem. The vet said that the fall might of caused her to injure her trachea a little to cause this cough. I have had dogs when I was younger, but this is my first dog that my fiance and I have on our own. I am so protective of her. Hopefully she will shake this cough/cold soon!
Sophiedog-you are right, it is funny how things happen the way they do sometimes!
Thanks again! |
