I know about screw worms. Being from a rural farming and ranching community I hear the "older" generations talk about screw worms. My dad says that you really do not see them as much as they used to. They used to remove them from the cattle by placing an open end of a soda bottle over the spot where the worm was located and pushing down on it. This would pop the worm out of the cow's skin. EWWWWW, gross! I don't think I will ever forget that story. I have never heard of a dog getting one until now, but anything is possible. Good luck w/ your little one!
