Got an appointment for Kelli to go to the vet this evening. Her previous owners said that every year she would get an allergy shot (depo? don't know how it's spelled) in April/May to last her all summer with her allergies...she didn't get one this year because we weren't aware of it. The vet said it might be food allergies (we discovered that there's corn starch in her food and corn flour in her favorite treats) - it, of course, could be a number of things and I'm worried about cost. I just want to make sure we can do this and get everything squared away, I don't want her to be sick
She seems fine, but she's still got the bumps and the vet's of course worried of her scratching so much that she bursts them and they leave open sores.
Many people have told me that allergy tests are expensive....I'm worried. More worried about her, and would do ANYTHING under the sun for her, but it still scares me alot as to HOW expensive is expensive. Her cortisone shot when she had a pinched nerve was $80...if I'm remembering right. This waiting is torture!! We have to wait 6 and a half more hours before we know what exactly's wrong.
I just want her to not have the itchies and to have our minds eased in the process. I feel horrible
