Yorkies, being one of the smallest breeds of dogs, are in an especially precarious position at such an age though. Think of how tiny your puppy was....don't you think he could have used more time with his mother?? Would it have hurt anything?? Of course it wouldn't....they NEED that...

As for the breeder...well it's his right to ask for an autopsy I suppose...certain breeders would probably be more sympathetic but it sounds as if he isn't....

You could always exhume him...

(Edit: He only died this morning...so exhuming him would work if you really want to go through with trying to get your money back.)

Does anybody know the cost of an autopsy?
