I think people come here for friendship and an understanding of the breed. It's not right to judge anyone, because you don't like their post or it might have been asked 100 times before. It's the first time for them. We're all adult enough to know when we're answering in a constructive manner rather then a destructive manner. I wouldn't make a good moderator because I'd be banning everyone that was mean, and I would feel I was doing it for the good of the forum. I personally think if people were banned for a week it would make them think before they posted again. If you don't have something to say in a nice way, say nothing at all.
