I crate trained Kalina and at six months I think she's 99% trained. She goes to the door now and looks at me.

Don't feel that they hate the crate or that it's mean. As long as you aren't leaving them in there too long it's fine. They feel secure in the crate. Kalina still goes in there on her own, to eat, and when I go out. I never have to worry that she'll have an accident in the house or chew on something bad or swallow something when I leave her in the crate. It's a relief for me as well as her.

When she is out of the crate you really have to watch her like a hawk until she is totally trained. Don't let her out of your sight. Some people keep them on a leash attached to their belt until they have the problem under control.
