Oh wow....I am tearing up reading your post. I found a Schauzer at our local shelter 15 years ago and I adopted her. I was only 19 at that time and a college student so needless to say,my parents did eventually end up getting Mollie. My mom was VERY against having an indoor dog and said they would only keep her until I found another home for her.

Yeah right....within 2 weeks, they were telling me that she was their dog and that I should not plan on ever getting her back from them. LOL!! To this very day,I adore the Schnauzer breed!! Mollie was HIGHLY intelligent and just as loving and sweet!!!!!! Whenever someone was sad or sick, she would not leave your side. I can remember being sick and her not leaving my bed to even eat. She would get on our lap and put her face under our chin and push as hard as she could....we started calling that her hugs. "Mollie, give me a hug." and she would. She was absolutely perfect!

Ok,that's it for me....sorry to have rambled. You just brought back some very wonderful memories for me. Mollie had to be put to sleep about 3 years ago and our family still cries when we talk about her. Special breed and you will feel that same, I'm sure.
