If this was just an appearance thing, I'd cut you some slack. But to say you "can't ever understand getting one" without long hair shows me you have a different opinion of what a dog is than I do.

Thank You Mike! I was wondering when someone was going to bring up the
breed traits as why we chose these wonderful little family extentions...
I have 2 Yorkies and 2 Biewers and live in Arizona where it gets as high as
120 degree's some days in the summer. Do I seriously need to say more??
More than appearance I am all about my furkids comfort, happiness and
over all well being. To say the word detrimental is being very closed minded
to the reasons many people choose or need to have their kids in certain
cuts. Long or short coat neither in my opinion is a wrong choice. I have seen
yorkies in full coat that are absolutely stunning and I have also seen ones
that looked like walking swamp monsters.
Like Marci I take great offense to this post...When you look at my kids you see robust, happy and most importantly loved and well cared for extentions of my family. If all they lack is coat then my friend as Mike said you are
missing the point of having a companion animal in the first place.
I can respect your personal likes or dislikes but then I believe you also
need to show that same courtesy in return and find a better choice of
words perhaps when portraying your feelings. There were much kinder
ways to see how other people felt with out basically insulting any one
that chooses to go the puppy cut route.
