I think a lot of the beauty of the breed is in the hair, and how long and flowy it can be. I respect your opinion that you prefer long hair, and I'll even ignore your opinion that you hate the appearance of my dogs, but to say the beauty of the breed is hair is turning a living, breathing thing into a doll. You might as well get a stuffed Yorkie.

If this was just an appearance thing, I'd cut you some slack. But to say you "can't ever understand getting one" without long hair shows me you have a different opinion of what a dog is than I do.

To me, the beauty of the breed is its spirit and temperment and its intelligence. It could be bald for all I care.
